Sichuan Quake Relief Stories

Suzhou-based American Turner Sparks and his friend decided to do more to help with the sichuan quake relief than just donating money. So together they hopped into Turner's car, drove to a road to be built in the future, then changed route, parked their car in Wuhan airport, and flew to Chengdu. They helped with the logistics and met an lovely old Chinese man who did the same thing as they did -- driving all the way from Hunan Province to offer help.

Like Turner and his friend, Dr. Cheng Wenhong also helped with the relief efforts, but in her own expertise -- child psychiatry, and into the deeper quake-hit area -- Mianyang county. On this episode of Culture Matters, We invited Turner and Dr. Cheng to share the difficulties they encountered and some touching stories in our studio.
