《世博链接》在节目构思创意阶段就将亲和力和文化品位作为节目整体风格。亲和力表现在以故事性的表达来叙述内容，以活泼充满温情的视觉效果来包装栏目，以体验互动版块的设计来充实内容。同时，整个栏目设置四个版块，有资讯的明快，有历史的稳重，也有观众参与的轻松，整个栏目的节奏张弛有度，有人，有故事。
《世博看点》版块充分体现了节目亲和力的主题，反映世博会的主题，理念，“亮点”和政府的工作，以及影响人们生活变化的一系列世博项目。主题覆盖“各国世博会场馆设计与环保”“城市最佳实践区案例”“世博人”“世博科技创新”“世博和企业”“世博吉祥物”“世博会歌”“世博交通方案”“世博文化演出活动计划”等。同时，节目也跟随市府相关世博活动进行特别报道，例如在法国，日本，韩国等地进行的大型宣传推广活动等，让观众了解世博会在海外推介的精彩瞬间。近日，节目组又远赴西班牙对在萨拉格萨的水世博会进行报道，体验世博会对人们生活的影响，节目将于十月份播出。
《世博档案》版块使用历届世博会的音像和图片资料，情景再现等纪录片表现手段，讲述世博历史和文化的故事。在内容上尽量和《世博看点》的主题相关联，通过两个版块的联动，将世博的某一个概念，某一个“看点”说透。如本期“看点”讲日本海外推介的，那么在FILE版块中可以回顾解读曾经在日本举办的世博会。
《世博体验》由外籍嘉宾每周一次体验世博的相关主题、如城市文明，衣食住行等。通过嘉宾参与的过程，谈亲身参与的感受，以体现世博和普通人的生活的贴近性，人人对世博的参与性。“看点”版块着重于世博建设的本身，而“体验”版块以“体验”的形式，着重于世博的外围。
《世博最新》 则回顾关于2010世博会场馆规划建设，市场开发和招展，宣传和推广，论坛和研讨等各方面的新闻，为观众提供世博会进程的最新资讯集锦。
节目主持人由申博市民形象大使袁鸣担当。作为上海家喻户晓的节目主持人，袁鸣从事电视工作已有20多年，是中国电视界主持人最高奖项金话筒的获奖者。 她目前上海东方卫视担任《东方新闻》国际新闻主播，同时也兼任两挡大型财经类节目《波士堂》《谁来一起午餐》的主持。 袁鸣也是中国第一档财经真人秀《赢家》的主创人员。在她的职业生涯中，袁鸣曾采访过多个国家政要，包括英国前首相布莱尔，美国前总统老布什，古巴总统卡斯特罗，巴基斯坦前总统目沙拉夫，德国前首相施罗德等等。
袁鸣是第一位英国剑桥大学Wolfson学院的新闻访问学者。本科毕业于上海外国语大学，在剑桥大学取得硕士学位，并且得到长江商学院的EMBA学位。

Expo Connection is a weekly 30-minute TV magazine. What distinguishes this program is that it's covering the build up to a major international event, focusing on preparations for World Expo 2010 in Shanghai. Multi-angled, Expo Connection introduces the culture and history of the World Expo, as well as highlighting developments as they unfold for the event. With up-beat, informative, stories, the program is composed of four sections, namely "Highlight", focusing on the various highlights of the event; "File", a culturally focused retrospective of the World Expo; "Expo and U", covering the interaction of volunteers with local citizens, and showcasing different individual's involvement; and "Updates", Expo news from the past week. Expo Connection is shown on International Channel Shanghai from 19:00 to 19:30 every Tuesday. Its Chinese version is shown on Dragon TV from 12:30-13:00 on Sunday of the same week. Miss Yuan Ming, Shanghai's ambassador for the World Expo bid, is the program anchor.
Ming is already a household name in China. She has worked as a TV news anchor, presenter and producer for 20 years and has won China’s Golden Microphone Award, the country’s top prize for TV personalities.
Besides the news program, she is currently the host of “Winner”-China’s first live business reality show and “Boss Town”, an interview program featuring China’s leading bizmen. And talk show “No Free Lunch”, which provides chances for young entrepreneurs to meet venture capital and private equity funds. In recent years, she has interviewed British PM Tony Blair, Cuban president Fidel Castro, US president George H.W. Bush, Pakistan president General Musharraf, PM Shaukat Aziz, Italian president Caarlo Ciampi, German PM Gerhard Schroder And many other heads of state.
Ming was also elected by the citizen of Shanghai and then appointed by the Shanghai municipal government as the representative of Shanghai citizen and one the three speakers on the bidding presentation for EXPO2010.
Ming was the first Press Fellow of Wolfson College, University of Cambridge, from the Chinese mainland. She became an honorary member of the board of the Shanghai Charity Foundation in 2004, after serving as a member of its board for 5 years. She was a member of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference Shanghai Committee from 1998 to 2003. Currently she is a board member of the China Youth Federation.
Ming is a member of Young Leaders Forum organized by National Committee on US-China Relations. And a member of Euro-Asia Young Leaders Forum organized by BMW Quandt Foundation. She was also an active observer and moderator of Ambrosetti Forum, villa d’este, Italy and Global Forum, Stockholm.
Ming got her BA degree from Shanghai International Studies University. In addition to a MA from University of Cambridge, she also holds an EMBA degree from the Cheung Kong Graduate School of Business.
