He Jian (Jason He)

 He Jian (Jason He)is a news anchor at the International Channel Shanghai. Before the 2008 launch of ICS he worked for Dragon TV’s English-language International Service from 2003 to 2007. There he was an anchor and reporter for the daily news and the weekly sports program Powersports; he also directed the travel show Getaway. He has hosted many international events in Shanghai, for example the Tennis Masters Cup, in ‘02 and ‘05 to ’07, and the opening ceremony of the 48th World Table Tennis Championships in 2005. As a reporter, he has covered numerous important events in the city, like the Formula One China Grand Prix, and visits by such important figures as Prime Minister Gordon Brown, a former UK Chancellor of Exchequer and Italian President Carlo Azeglio Cianmpi. He joined SMG in mid-2003, after graduating from the Journalism and Communications Department of the Shanghai International Studies University.
